#HeadspaceStories: Headspace sits down with Thomas Pargeter, Product Lead at Momentum ABM for our latest blog.
Headspace recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Thomas Pargeter, Product Lead at Momentum ABM to discuss a typical working day, managing expectations and the favourite part of his role.
Q) Describe your organization?
Using novel design and marketing techniques Momentum captures research data and insights and produces engaging visual communication within B2B contexts. Working within this dynamic team requires reflexive design thinking across print, digital and images for global clients such as Oracle, Fujitsu, Google, Vodafone and Adobe.
Q) Describe a typical day in your work life?
I look after traffic and production, so as well as ensuring that all jobs are appropriately resourced and produced on time and to the highest standards. I also deal with all third party suppliers and production requirements. My day to day varies depending on what we are working on!
Q) Are there any challenges in your job and how do you handle them?
My biggest challenges are managing internal expectations; I try and stay as transparent as possible to make sure that our accounts team know when they are getting their work done.
Q) What are the top 3 things you do outside of work?
I love playing guitar, skateboarding and travelling. I’m holding on to being a teenager with my fingernails (even though it was 8 years ago).
Q) What advice would you give someone who is seeking the same line of work?
Get thrown in at the deep end of a big agency if you can to learn as much about process management as you can.
Q) What is the favourite part of your day?
Currently going to NOa on Baker Street for lunch and working my way through their wonderful vegetarian menu.
Q) What are the most important tools, programmes and systems you use for your work?
I use Paprika for traffic management and finance ops requirements and Smartsheet for any project timelines. The tool I probably use most is my mobile phone as I spend a lot of time talking with suppliers.
Q) Finish this sentence: The ideal way to start my day is…
Waking up early enough to cycle into work as opposed to getting the tube.
Q) What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Anything large format that we produce is always fun, I love getting big packages in the post. It’s like corporate Christmas!
Q) What is the least favourite part of your job?
Not getting to use the complimentary Nespresso machine and not getting to chat to the brilliant front of house team at Headspace Marylebone!
Thank you Thomas, great chatting with you and we wish Momentum ABM a huge amount of success throughout this year.
